Michael Chamoff: Driving Innovation in Apprenticeships

Introduction and Background:

Michael Chamoff based in our Melbourne office brings a wealth of experience from his tenure in the apprenticeship and traineeship sector prior to joining Ai Group ATC. “I’ve worked in the Apprenticeship sector for 7-8 years prior to coming over to Ai Group ATC. I was drawn to Ai Group’s high-profile brand and its impactful contributions to Australian industries,” Michael shares. My decision was also made easier by witnessing former colleagues move to Ai Group ATC and hearing their positive feedback. It’s made it a great choice for my career growth.

Job Role and Responsibilities:

Michael is currently operating as the ATC’s Business Development Consultant. Michael focuses on expanding Ai Group ATC’s footprint across Southern Australia. His role involves partnering with our hosts and with new companies to identify great apprenticeship and traineeship opportunities! Venturing into emerging industries to ensure the ATC can create the best placements for apprentices and trainees.
“I take a lot of pride in establishing job opportunities within Australian manufacturing, finding great opportunities in local industries and creating employment. “Seeing the direct impact of our work on these sectors is both motivating and fulfilling,” he reflects.

Team and Culture:

In the short time I’ve been with the ATC, I’ve been thrilled as the camaraderie and diversity within the team. “Collaborating across different states allows me to grasp unique regional opportunities, and across various industries from energy to healthcare, it’s really interesting.”

Goals and Aspirations:

I’m working with the team to solidify Ai Group ATC’s position as Australia’s premier employer of apprentices and trainees. “We’re preparing for the future of apprenticeships and traineeships, ensuring we’re ahead of the curve in developing skills for tomorrow’s jobs. It’s quite exciting hearing about the future jobs that the next generation of apprentices and trainees can experience – there are a lot of cool jobs being created!”

Fun and Personal:

I’m a busy Dad of two boys who have an active year-round sporting schedule of footy, cricket, and hockey. We enjoy travelling as a family and seeing Australia and the world. I also compete in powerlifting, and currently preparing for my 4th competition.
Career Advice and Insights:

I would say for those embarking on a similar career path in business development, and vocational training “embrace continuous learning and passion for the industry you are working in. Stay curious, engage with industry leaders, and embrace lifelong learning—it’s the key to sustaining enthusiasm and success”.

We’re thrilled to have Michael as part of Ai Group ATC’s commitment to innovation and excellence in apprenticeships and traineeships. He’s only recently joined our team, but is already making a big impact – Thanks Michael!
