- Programming machines and robots using onboard conversational programming
- Using CAD/CAM software (towards the end of the apprenticeship)
- Must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident with the right to work in Australia
- Completion of Year 10 High School
- Drivers Licence and reliable transport
