Brooke Cunningham Awarded Prestigious Scholarship for Dedication to Electrical Apprenticeship
We are thrilled to announce that Brooke Cunningham, one of our outstanding apprentices, has been awarded the prestigious Chris Arnost ‘Stay Focused’ Scholarship by Box Hill Institute. This scholarship, awarded to a 1st- or 2nd-year student who demonstrates exceptional dedication to their program, honours the memory of Chris Arnost, an electrical apprentice who lived his life with enthusiasm and focus before his untimely passing in 2010.
Brooke, who is hosted by Heuch Refrigeration in Dandenong Victoria, has shown remarkable focus and commitment to her electrical apprenticeship to date, making her a deserving recipient of the $1,500 scholarship. Heuch Refrigeration has been a fantastic supporter of boosting the number of female apprentices in non-traditional trades, and Brooke’s success is a testament to their commitment and her hard work.
The scholarship not only recognises Brooke’s dedication to her studies but also aims to encourage students to maintain a healthy balance in life by helping alleviate some of the financial pressures that come with pursuing an apprenticeship. The Chris Arnost Trust funds three annual scholarships to support students like Brooke who embody the spirit of staying focused and committed to their careers.
Our Employment & Training Consultant, Peter McCusker, joined Brooke at the 2024 Box Hill Institute Student Recognition and Awards Night on November 13th, where she was officially presented with the scholarship
We are incredibly proud of Brooke’s achievements and look forward to seeing her continue to thrive in her career as an electrical apprentice.
