Apprentice of the Month: May 2024

Our Apprentice of the Month for May is Corbin Comeagain!

We are thrilled to announce that Corbin Comeagain, a proud Aboriginal man from the Yamatji region of Western Australia, has been awarded the Ai Group ATC Apprentice of the Month for May. Corbin’s dedication, exceptional teamwork, and commitment to excellence have set him apart as a shining example within our industry.

Currently enrolled in the Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking/Welding) and hosted to Clough Webuild in Western Australia, Corbin works tirelessly on the Waitsia Project in Dongara. Despite the demanding 3:1 roster and 85-hour work weeks, Corbin’s determination and positive attitude has not gone unnoticed by his colleagues. They consistently express admiration for his respectful demeanour and outstanding teamwork, highlighting his exceptional commitment and skills.

Corbin was recently presented with a Certificate of Recognition from his Host company. The ‘Quality Award Onsite’ award further illustrating his dedication to his apprenticeship and his pursuit of excellence.

According to Corbin’s supervisor, Ben Orr, “Corbin has such a positive attitude, always demonstrates reliability, and contributes greatly to the Clough team. We were thrilled to hear about the acknowledgements he is receiving, as his exemplary work ethic and performance make him a standout candidate for these accolades.” Beyond the Waitsia Project site, Corbin’s dedication to excellence is echoed by his TAFE teachers, who recognise his commitment to his apprenticeship training and knowledge.

We are immensely proud to celebrate Corbin’s achievements and to honour his proud heritage as a First Nations apprentice. Congratulations, Corbin, on this well-deserved recognition as the Ai Group Apprentice of the Month for May. Keep up that positivity in the workplace, and we look forward to witnessing your continued success in your apprenticeship and beyond.

Congratulations, Corbin, and all the best with the rest of your apprenticeship and your future career!
