Apprentice of the Month – June 2024
Our Apprentice of the Month for June is Seth Rogers!
Seth is in his second stage of his Boiler Making / Fabrication Apprenticeship with the McMahon’s Metal Fabrication in Adelaide. At just 17, he’s already leaving a mark with his dedication and professionalism.
According to Seth’s Manager Bobby McMillan from McMahons what sets Seth apart is his “genuine curiosity in the broader aspects of the business. He always asks questions of staff to ensure he obtains a thorough understanding of the work. He even stays back to make sure the job is done and he cleans his area well.” In addition to his high achievements at work, Seth’s academic performance at TAFE also speaks volumes about his commitment. Always a step ahead of his peers, he’s progressing through his theory at an amazing rate, learning in line with his practical on-the-job training.
Beyond his apprenticeship duties, Seth has also shown an interest in promoting trades and recently participated in the creation of a video developed by the South Australian Department of Education. This career pathways video will assist many students in coming years gain a better understanding of the Engineering and Fabrication trades industry.
Seth has also been commended by his Employment and Training Consultants. Brook Hood, his ETC, noted that Seth demonstrates a strong commitment to safety and has fully embraced the recent implementation of the ‘Respect at Work Policy,’ showcasing his maturity and professionalism. Seth’s optimistic demeanor and readiness to assist his team contribute to fostering a positive and cohesive work atmosphere.
By being such a great team player we believe Seth has a promising future. Seth is a natural choice for the Apprentice of the Month award. His dedication and proactive approach significantly contribute to the success of McMahons Metal Fabrication. With Seth on board, the company is assured of a bright and successful future.
