Apprentice of the Month – July 2024
Our Apprentice of the Month for July is Gemma McCormick!
We are proud to announce Gemma McCormick as the recipient of the July 2024 Apprentice of the Month award. Gemma has made a remarkable impact since commencing her Electrical apprenticeship demonstrating outstanding teamwork, a positive attitude, and a strong commitment to learning and supporting her colleagues.
Danny Quigley, Gemma’s supervisor, commended her on her exceptional qualities. “Gemma has been a valuable addition to our team,” he remarked. “Coming from a background in veterinary nursing, it’s amazing how easily she has transitioned and embraced her role as an electrical apprentice with enthusiasm and dedication. Gemma shows resilience and adaptability, always willing to tackle any task, including many tasks outside her usual trade responsibilities.”
Over the past few weeks, Gemma’s hard work has notably paid off, according to her peers. “Her fault-finding skills have really started to shine as she challenges herself to solve problems independently,” Danny added. Gemma’s proactive approach and eagerness to learn have earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues.
Looking ahead, Danny expressed confidence in Gemma’s future at Aggreko. “I look forward to seeing Gemma complete her apprenticeship with us and continue to grow as a valuable asset to our business,” he stated. Gemma’s journey from vet nurse to electrical apprentice exemplifies Aggreko’s commitment to nurturing diverse talent and fostering career development opportunities within the company.
Ai Group ATC mentor Bec Tindal has also had nothing but praise for Gemma’s attitude to her training and placement. Noting, that it is always a pleasure to meet up with Gemma and hear how much a positive experience her apprenticeship is.
We wish Gemma all the best for the remainder of her apprenticeship and know that she has an extremely bright career ahead! Well done Gemma!
