The Ai Group Apprentice and Trainee Centre is currently running an innovative program aimed at enhancing the leadership skills of female apprentices working in the Energy and Manufacturing sectors.

The program will address economic equality and leadership opportunities within the energy and manufacturing sectors. Through leadership workshops and peer-to-peer mentoring the project will target women and gender diverse individuals currently undertaking trade apprenticeships in both sectors as well as mid-career workers. Additionally, participants will be provided with leadership training and invited to networking events to provide them with the necessary skills required for advancement into leadership positions within the industry.

The Apprentice to Leader program is specifically designed to empower female apprentices by providing them with the necessary tools and training to excel in leadership roles. Participants in the program will have the unique opportunity to attend a comprehensive two-day Leadership workshop. This workshop is meticulously structured to develop a leadership mindset among the participants, equipping them with essential skills and strategies to navigate and succeed in male-dominated environments.

The program will create a dynamic peer-to-peer mentoring network of female apprentices and leaders currently working within the Energy and Manufacturing sectors.

This mentoring network is designed to foster a supportive and collaborative environment where participants can share their experiences, challenges, and successes. Through regular interactions and discussions, apprentices will gain valuable insights and advice from seasoned female leaders who have navigated similar career paths. This network aims to bridge the gap between emerging and established professionals, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and skills.

The peer-to-peer mentoring network will involve structured mentoring sessions, informal meet-ups, and virtual forums, ensuring accessibility and continuous engagement. These connections will provide apprentices with practical guidance on career advancement, leadership strategies, and overcoming industry-specific obstacles. Additionally, the network will offer a platform for mutual encouragement and empowerment, reinforcing the importance of solidarity among women in these traditionally male-dominated fields.

By participating in this mentoring network, female apprentices will not only enhance their professional development but also build lasting relationships that can support their growth throughout their careers. The program aims to cultivate a strong community of female leaders who can collectively drive progress and innovation within the Energy and Manufacturing sectors.
